Controversial upon its release last summer, this steamy Polish-language drama followed the exploits of a young woman imprisoned by a gangster, who allowed her 12 months to fall in love with him.

Pockets of the movie criticism world condemned its romanticisation of Stockholm Syndrome and sexual assault.
