 Titans and The Osiris Child actress Teagan Croft is set to star in the Netflix adaptation of teen sailor Jessica Watson's memoir, True Spirit. Sarah Spillane and Cathy Randall are writing the biopic, and Spillane is scheduled to film it on location in Queensland and Sydney, Australia, later this year. Netflix has ordered eight episodes of the untitled show, described as a global spy adventure series centered on a father and daughter (Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro). Controversial upon its release last summer, this steamy Polish-language drama followed the exploits of a young woman imprisoned by a gangster, who allowed her 12 months to fall in love with him. Pockets of the movie criticism world condemned its romanticisation of Stockholm Syndrome and sexual assault.

  For 55 years, “Ultraman” has been one of Japan’s A-list superheroes — defending the planet from alien kaiju and inspiring all manner of global pop culture, from the “Power Rangers” to Paul Rudd’s “Ant-Man” suit. But while the character has a loyal following outside of Japan, Ultraman has never become a massive crossover phenomenon at the scale of Godzilla or Pokémon.   Streaming leader banks on Mark Millar to power its coveted franchise dreams Three and a half years after buying Millarworld, the publishing company from prolific comic book writer Mark Millar, Netflix is about to see a return on its investment. On Friday, "Jupiter's Legacy" debuts as the first project to come out since the 2017 acquisition. The series is a sprawling superhero epic that features multiple time periods that spans some 90 years. Led by Josh Duhamel, Leslie Bibb, Matt Lanter and Ben Daniels, "Jupiter's Legacy" centers on a group of aging superheroes and their kids who struggle to live up to their ideals.
